Acupuncture is a treatment method based on traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). It involves inserting fine needles about 3 to 4 cm long into acupuncture points. These acupuncture points, in turn, are located on meridians that define a specific energy pathway under the surface of the skin. In acupuncture, there are about 400 acupuncture points and twelve main meridian pathways, which in turn are subdivided into individual pathways.

An acute disease, unlike a chronic disease, has a relatively clear and definable starting point. The development of such a disease usually takes place suddenly and over a shorter period of time. An acute illness is triggered by microbiological pathogens such as bacteria or viruses. As a rule, a period of 3 – 14 days is common.

Of the approximately 35 alder species, the green, gray or black alder are common to Europe. The black alder is mainly found in wetlands or at the edge of bodies of water. The gray alder, for example, is an ornamental in parks and can be recognized in winter by its black cones. The male flower catkins are golden yellow, and the female flower cones reddish. Like the hazelnut, the alder belongs to the birch family. Due to this allergic relationship, alder pollen allergy sufferers are also allergic to hazel and birch pollen. Allergy sufferers to alder are particularly troubled by the allergen with the designation Aln g 1. Like the hazel allergen, the alder allergen belongs to the Bet v 1 allergen family. These are characterized by strong allergens. Pollen season The black alder blooms quite early in Spring time. The main flowering period is in the months of February to March, and is usually parallel to Hazel. Th earliest flowerer is the so-called purple alder, a cross between the Japanese and Caucasian alder. It is very popular, especially in cities, due to its beautiful leaves, fast growth and weather-resistant characteristic. Purple alder blooms about two months earlier than native alders, so allergy sufferers should also consider an allergic reaction if they have symptoms of a cold in winter. Possible cross reactions These are identical to hazel and birch cross-reactions. Seeded fruits (such as apples and pears), stone fruits (such as peaches, apricots, cherries, nectarines, and plums), strawberries, kiwis, celery, carrots, soybeans, peanuts, and mung beans.

he healing effects of alkaline bath salts have been known for thousands of years through baths in salt lakes or hot springs. Environmental toxins, stress and a diet consisting largely of acid-forming foods such as meat, dairy and grain products, can lead to hyperacidity of the body. Acids are increasingly stored in the connective tissue of the body, including the connective tissue of the skin. When bathing, the skin pores are opened by the warmth of the water. The difference in concentration of alkaline water outside the skin cells and the excess acids inside the cells causes the acids to be led out of the cells naturally (osmotic pressure). They reach the surface of the skin, where they pass into the alkaline water and are neutralized. Alkaline baths are recommended for balancing the acid-base balance, e.g. for skin and joint diseases, detox and fasting cures or can simply be used for relaxation.

Allergic reactions are immunological responses of the body to normally harmless substances called allergens. These reactions occur when the immune system mistakenly perceives certain allergens, such as pollen, foods, animal dander, insect bites, or medications, as threatening and triggers a defensive response. Reactions can vary from mild to life-threatening symptoms. In the event of an allergic reaction, it is important to act quickly and appropriately, especially in the case of severe reactions such as anaphylaxis. Allergic rhinoconjunctivitis is an IgE-mediated inflammation of the nasal mucosa and conjunctiva of the eye. A distinction is made between seasonal allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, known as hay fever (pollen allergy) and perennial allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, which is caused by allergens that occur throughout the year (e.g. house dust mites, molds, animal epithelia, etc.). Typical symptoms are sneezing attacks, runny nose, scratching in the mouth and throat as well as watery, red eyes and itchy eyelids. Accompanying diseases of allergic rhinoconjunctivitis can be very diverse (e.g. bronchial asthma, allergic conjunctivitis, food allergies) and often greatly impair the patient’s quality of life and performance.

An allergy is a hypersensitive immune reaction of the body to non-infectious antigens (allergens) after prior sensitization. The body reacts with signs of inflammation and the formation of antibodies, the so-called antigen-antibody reaction. An allergy can show itself in many forms, from a mild skin rash to life-threatening reactions (anaphylactic allergic reactions). It can also manifest itself on all levels of the body. It often affects the respiratory tract (rhinitis allergica, rhinosinusitis, bronchial asthma) but typical symptoms can also effect the skin, eyes and gastrointestinal tract. Allergies are divided into four groups (types I – IV) depending on the pathomechanism. Allergens can use different pathomechanisms, e.g. a penicillin allergy can occur as a type I or type II allergy. Allergens are usually classified according to the form of contact, e.g. inhalation allergens, contact allergens, food allergens and injection allergens.

The decisive factor in the treatment of allergies is the identification of the triggering allergench. First of all, the anamnesis is in the foreground and the clinical picture is the guiding factor. For further diagnostics and determination of the triggering allergen, many possibilities are available: Skin tests (prick test, epicutaneous test), laboratory tests (in vitro diagnostics, detection of IgE antibodies), provocation tests (allergens in the form of a test solution are applied directly) or bioenergetic test procedures (EAP, kinesiological muscle test, resonance test with the tensor, etc.). There are several possibilities for therapy. One can try to avoid the triggering allergen (abstinence) or treat the acute symptoms with medicines (e.g. antihistamines, glucocorticoids). Then there is the hyposensitization method as well as allergy therapy with the bioresonance method. Abstinence is often difficult to maintain, medicinal treatment often shows strong side effects and hyposensitization is long and time-consuming. Allergy therapy with the bioresonance method is free of medication and side effects and the patient has no material contact with the triggering allergen at any time. This is because this therapy is carried out as a complementary treatment with only the information from the allergens. The patient usually experiences a rapid relief of clinical symptoms. Over the course of the cause-oriented treatment method, the overstimulated immune system can learn to tolerate the triggering allergen for the future. It is suitable for patients from the age of four, including patients suffering from pain or anxiety. This is because the method is non invasive, both during the process of determining the allergen (bioenergetic testing procedures) and during treatment with the BICOM optima®.

Alternative medicine and complementary medicine are collective terms for treatment methods and diagnostic concepts that see themselves as alternatives or supplements to scientifically founded methods of medicine.

Ash Ash reaches a height of 15 to 40 meters and is found mainly in places where beech is not as abundant. The buds are short and covered with black felt-like hairs. The flower heads can be recognized by initially upright panicles. The ash tree belongs to the olive family. According to a study by Marjolein Haftenberger from the Robert Koch Institute Germany in January 2013, about 9.4 percent of adults (18 to 79-year-olds) are sensitive to the allergen of ash trees. The main allergen is called Fra e 1. Pollen season Ash pollen is present in parallel with birch pollen from March to April. Possible cross reactions There is high cross activity between the olive allergen (Ole e 1) and the ash pollen allergen (Fra e 1). Cross reactions to olive trees, forsythia (golden lilac), lilac, privet (rain willow), and jasmine are possible.

Auriculo treatment is also called auriculo or ear acupuncture. Points on the skin of the ear are connected to various organs of the body for diagnosis and treatment.

The bandpass is a display on the BICOM® device that indicates in which frequency range therapy is being performed. The display for the lowest frequency range extends from 1 to 25 Hz. The ordinary bandpass ranges from 10 Hz to 250 kHz.

BICOM® therapy is usually initiated with a basic program, which is intended to prepare the body for the targeted therapy.

These are test procedures that take advantage of the fact that we are not only made of matter, but also of information. The functional state of our body simultaneously defines our energetic state, which can then be checked with corresponding bioenergetic test procedures. Among others, the EAP (electrical acupuncture), the kinesiological muscle test and the resonance test with the help of the tensor are available.

The capacity of a biological system to react to waves and frequency patterns via resonance. In a narrower sense, a form of therapy in which an organism is stimulated to react in a self-regulatory way by its own body or by frequency patterns that are specific to the substance.

Birch trees have a white shiny trunk and usually reach a height of 7 meters after only six years. Fully grown they are up to 30 meters high. The catkins hang in single small groups at the end of the branches and can be seen already in winter. The pollen can be recognized by the fine white-yellow powder, which is deposited on the body, clothing and many surfaces around us. With up to five million pollen grains per birch catkin, the birch is one of the trees with the most pollen. Every two years, birch trees have what is known as the “mast year.” During this time, they shed particularly large amounts of pollen. A single tree can produce up to 100 million pollen. The main allergen is Bet v 1. Pollen season Depending on the weather, the pollen count can start as early as March. The main flowering period takes place around the end of March to the end of April. Birch catkins release the most pollen at temperatures between 15 and 25 degrees. Possible cross reactions Birch shows the most frequent cross-reactions to the pollen of hazel, alder and hornbeam. According to information from the German Allergy and Asthma Association (Daab), cross-allergies occur in more than half of all birch pollen allergy sufferers. Cross allergies are mostly to raw seeded and stone fruits as well as nuts. According to the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), birch pollen allergy sufferers should however also be careful with soy products. The trigger of the cross-reaction to soy products is usually the allergen Gly m 4. This is found in non-fermented soy products such as soy drinks, soy flakes, soy yogurt, diet powder or tofu.

The bumblebee has a very round and large body compared to the bee or wasp. On its back it usually has yellow-black stripes, but these are not so visible because it´s back is also covered with small hairs. Bumblebees exist as workers, drones and queens. A queen bumblebee can reach a size of 15 to 23 mm. Workers and drones grow to be about 8 to 21 mm long. Occurrence Bumblebees belong to the true bee family and feed exclusively on pollen and nectar. A colony can grow on average to contain between 50 to 600 bumblebees. The majority of the animals in a colony are workers. Among them there are also males and young queens. Males and workers reach the age of 3 to 4 weeks. The queen, on the other hand, can live up to 12 months. In spring, bumblebees are already found at about 2-6 °C. In comparison, bees are on the move from only about 10 ° C. Bumblebees build their nests mostly from moss, plant fibers and mouse hair. Bumblebees pollinate flowers and plants just like bees and wasps and are therefore under very strict protection. Bumblebees are peace-loving animals, but they should still not be underestimated by allergy sufferers. Offspring They lay their eggs in their nest and if it is too cold, they hatch them. After a few days the first bumblebees hatch. After 2 to 3 weeks the bumblebees are fully grown and start pollinating flowers. Danger of the allergy If you have an allergy to bumblebee venom, you should be careful. This is because as soon as bumblebees feel threatened, they go on the attack. If an allergy to bees has already been established, one should also behave more cautiously towards bumblebees, because the poisons of bumblebees and bees are related by similar proteins and peptides.

Using the chip memory device, BICOM® therapists can store therapy frequency patterns and Dynamic Multi Impulse therapy (DMI) on a BICOM® chip for therapy extension during the treatment intervals. Complementary medicine is an alternative and supplement to the scientifically based methods of conventional medicine. It encompasses a broad spectrum of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that are based on different approaches to the development of diseases and their treatment compared with those of conventional medicine. These include alternative medicine [link], holistic medicine, integrative medicine, naturopathy, traditional medicine (e.g. Chinese, European or Tibetan), and other related terms denoting healing methods or diagnostic concepts.

In medicine, a contraindication is a criteria or circumstance (e.g. a certain disease or pregnancy) that prohibits a diagnostic or therapeutic measure for a given indication from taking place or only makes it possible under strict consideration of the resulting risks. Therefore, a distinction is also made between an absolute and a relative contraindication.

Dehydration refers to a biochemical process in the human body in which the body loses more water than it takes in. This lack of water, also called dehydration, can be exacerbated or facilitated by various processes, such as taking medications that increase urine output, profuse sweating during intense physical activity, or vomiting and diarrhea. Dehydration is especially common in th elderly. In medicine the condition of a dehydrated body is also known as exsiccosis.

E-substances are additives designed to make food more attractive by improving the color, taste and consistency. Mostly, so-called e-substances are found in ready-to-eat meals, baked goods and other products, which thereby gain better taste and appearance. E-substances are identified by E-numbers on the respective products.

Electroacupuncture testing is used to measure the energetic state of the individual acupuncture meridians. This allows the therapist to obtain indications of disturbed organ systems. The EAP readings can be read on the display of the BICOM® device. Polluting substances (such as bacteria, viruses and allergens) can also be tested.

Elms grow up to 35 meters high. In spring, the brown-violet flower of the elm is rather inconspicuous compared to other flowers. It has the shape of a bell and grows to about 3 to 6 mm in size. The elm seed, which forms after flowering in spring, is enclosed in a wing. The seed itself is round, flat, and located either in the center or slightly outside the fruit casing, depending on the species of elm. The elm can live up to 400 years. An allergy to elms occurs relatively rarely. Due to a fungus that attacks elms, there are also fewer and fewer elms in Germany. The fruits (samaras) of some elm species are also used in Chinese medicine and, depending on the species of elm, some nut fruits are also edible. Pollen season The elm is one of the early bloomers and flowers every two years. The pollen season is from March to April, but in warm years it can happen that the pollen is already in the air from February. Possible cross-reactions Elm is currently not known to have any noticeable cross-reactions to food or other pollen species.

Ferrite magnets are permanent magnets consisting of one piece of the magnetizable material ferrite. According to the magnetic order or the ferrimagnetic order, ferrite magnets are a mixture of ferromagnets and antiferromagnets. Examples of ferrite magnets are classical panel magnets.

It is a part of traditional Chinese medicine and is used to explain the flow of energy in the body and meridians. The five elements (functional circuits) are referred to by the terms fire, water, wood, metal and earth. Each element is composed of two or four classical acupuncture meridians. The classical concept was expanded in electro-acupuncture according to Dr. Voll.

Food Intolerances refer to adverse reactions of the body to certain foods that are not caused by an immune response. Unlike food allergies, which involve the immune system, intolerances do not show immunological reactions. The symptoms that do occur often manifest insidiously and are less acute and intense compared to the pronounced reactions seen in allergies. The range of symptoms that occur is varied and can include gastrointestinal symptoms, skin rashes, headaches, fatigue and more. A well-known example of food intolerance is lactose intolerance. For those affected, consumption of milk or products containing lactose causes digestive problems such as abdominal pain, bloating or diarrhea. This intolerance results from a deficiency of lactase, a digestive enzyme that is necessary for processing lactose.

A frequency is the number of oscillations per second that are present in a sound. The faster the particles oscillate, the higher the frequency. A frequency is measured by the unit Hertz (Hz). Sounds with a high frequency are perceived by the human ear as high-pitched tones, while sounds with a low frequency are perceived as low-pitched tones.

Specific frequency vibrations are emitted by all organic and non-organic substances, including body cells. Due to their different wave properties, they also form different patterns, which serves in the transmission of information.

The goosefoot, with its 170 species, is widespread throughout the world. In Central Europe, it is mainly the white goosefoot that is best known. It is often considered a weed and grows on roadsides, field margins and agricultural fallow. White goosefoot grows between 10 and 150 cm high. The leaves and the greenish-white flowers appear mealy pollinated. Goosefoot pollen shows a high allergenicity. However, an allergy to goosefoot is rather rare in Germany. The allergy is more common in southern Europe and the Middle East. Pollen season The flowers open between the beginning of June and mid-September. Symptoms often appear between May and July. Possible cross-reactions Cross-reactions may occur to other pollens within the foxtail family, such as spinach, chard, quinoa and amaranth.

Grass pollen allergy is one of the most common pollen allergies. Particularly the pollen of sweet grasses (such as wheat, bent grass, lych grass, and meadow blue grass) can cause corresponding symptoms in those affected. A typical symptom is, for example, the allergy-related inflammation of the nasal mucosa, also known as hay fever. The grass family is home to numerous survival artists. Depending on the vegetation, grasses are very adaptable, so they can be found in any climate zone. Depending on the local temperature and the type of grass, the leaf shape and color differ. With a smaller leaf surface, less water evaporates, and this characteristic is especially evident in dry regions. The pollen spreads mainly with the wind. Pollen season Due to high cross-reactivity, there is hardly any respite for sufferers who show allergic symptoms to grass pollen. However, with regard to the flowering period and allergenic significance of some grass and cereal species, the months of April to August are most marked by the pollen count. Depending on the location, certain harvest times can induce symptoms. Pollen rye, for example, with its up to 21 million pollen grains, is one of the most aggressive allergen carriers among the grasses. Grass pollen allergy sufferers feel this especially during harvest time. As with wheat, the regular harvest time is in midsummer from the end of July to mid-August. However, green rye, which is used in biogas plants and for animal feed, is usually harvested two months earlier. Possible cross-reactions When allergic to grasses, a cross-reaction to cereal products and pulses is possible, such as wheat, barley, rye or spelt in the form of bread, rolls & pastries, as well as beans, lentils, peas, peanuts or soy in the form of salads, mueslis & snacks. An allergic reaction can also occur, for example, when eating flour that has not been baked.

Hay fever, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a common allergic reaction caused by pollen from trees (e.g., birch, oak, hazel), grasses, and flowering plants (e.g., mugwort, ribwort). The reaction takes the form of sneezing, runny or stuffy nose, itching in the nose and eyes, and watery eyes, and may be more pronounced seasonally, during the flowering period of pollen. BICOM optima® is recommended for the treatment of mild to moderate allergic and allergy-associated diseases and complications; but mainly for allergic rhino conjunctivitis (hay fever).

Hazel shrubs grow to about five feet tall. The typical flower catkins have an elongated shape. The typical flower catkins of hazel consist of about 2 million pollen grains. Only after fertilization do the hazelnuts develop from them. In Europe, these are usually harvested in September/October. Due to the allergic relationship (main allergen Bet v 1), hazel pollen allergy sufferers often also react allergically to birch or alder pollen. Pollen season Hazel can blossom from a temperature as low as five degrees Celsius, and together with the alder, hazel is an early flowerer. The main pollen season is in the months of February to March, however, if the winter is warmer, the flowering catkins can often be seen as early as the end of December or January. The region and the corresponding weather conditions therefore have a significant influence on the flowering time. Possible cross reactions Foods such as apples, peanuts, walnuts, pecans, cashews, brazil nuts, pistachios, and coconuts. The development of a cross-allergy is also known as birch pollen-nut-fruit syndrome.

Homeopathic remedies are based on the principles of homeopathy, an alternative healing method developed in the late 18th century. They are extracted from natural substances such as plants, minerals or animal products and potentiated through a series of dilution and shaking steps. Homeopathic remedies are often taken in the form of globules, drops or tablets and aim to stimulate the body’s own self-healing system and restore balance. The question of their effectiveness and application is controversial due to their strong dilution. Nevertheless, they are often used as an alternative or complementary therapy option.

The deciduous hornbeam grows up to 25 meters high with a trunk diameter of up to one meter. The catkins grow to about four to six centimeters long and are yellow-green. At maturity in August/September they are up to 17 centimeters long. The hornbeam belongs to the birch family and is found throughout Europe. The hornbeam is also often used as a hedge plant. The pollen grains of the hornbeam are transmitted by the wind. It is considered to have a low tendencity for an allergy, but it is often accompanied by birch, alder or hazel in the form of a cross-allergy. Pollen season The pollen season is from March to May. The pollen is however mostly present from April to May. Possible cross reactions Other birch plants, such as birch, alder, or hazel and their frequent cross-reacting food allergens.

The immune system is the body’s defense system. It ensures that pathogens such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites that enter the body are fought to protect the body from infection. The immune system is not one specific organ, but is made up of a variety of components. These include organs such as the spleen, intestines, and skin.

In medicine, an indication is the reason for carrying out certain medical measures which, for example, lead to the recovery of an illness.

Information medicine is a broad term. It´s so called origin is bioresonance therapy, but it has also been developed further. It is based on the most modern scientific findings in physics, chemistry and energy research and considers effects on the physical body, functional energy force fields as well as the psyche and mind. There is no clear distinction between energy medicine, bioresonance and information medicine. That is why often only the term bioresonance therapy is used.

Aeroallergens or inhalation allergens are naturally occurring substances that are spread through the air. Depending on which allergen one is allergic to, it can lead to pathogenic defense reactions that the immune system develops against the usually harmless substances. Significant allergen carriers are, for example, pollen, house dust mites and mold spores.

The input cup of the BICOM® bioresonance device contains additional information for the therapy. These can be secretions, excretions (such as blood, saliva, stool) or stressing substances. Stabilizing substances and substance complexes are also possible.

A food intolerance is an excessive reaction of the organism to certain food components such as protein components. Intolerances occur when the body is unable to fully digest or utilize components of a food. The consumption of certain foods then causes regular digestive problems.

Itching is known in medicine under the technical term pruritus. It refers to a change in the skin area that causes one to scratch the corresponding area. The change can be caused by various factors, such as allergies, parasites or insect bites. If the itching lasts longer than 6 weeks, it is also called chronic pruritus.

Kinesiology is also called the “science of movement”. It is a technique for testing and serves to energetically balance disturbed muscle functions. This muscle test is frequently used by BICOM® therapists for the energetic diagnosis of pathological stress and to determine suitable therapy programs.

Lactose intolerance refers to a disorder in which the body is unable to adequately digest lactose, the natural sugar in dairy products. This intolerance results from a lack of lactase, an enzyme responsible for splitting lactose in the intestines. The undigested lactose enters the large intestine, where it is broken down by intestinal bacteria and can cause bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea or even vomiting in those affected. There are now many lactose-free foods that people with lactose intolerance can fall back on.

In Europe one finds the summer and winter lime tree. They are often found as ornamental trees on country roads and in villages. The flowers are easily recognized by the long forked stamens. The lime tree spreads comparatively little pollen. Pollination is mainly by insects, which makes it an important source of honey, especially for bees. For allergy sufferers the lime tree has a comparatively low importance. Pollen season The flowering period is from May to July.

A magnetic field is the effective area of a magnet. Magnetic fields can be recognized by force effects on ferromagnetic materials such as iron, cobalt, nickel and special alloys. Magnetic fields are visualized by so-called magnetic field lines, which can better represent the effective range.

BICOM® magnetic pulse therapy (BMI), also called dynamic multi-impulse therapy (DMI), consists of three modules in the latest BICOM® device. Depending on the application by the BICOM® therapist, it provides the patient with improved microcirculation, better blood flow to cells, and thus optimizes nutrient uptake by the cell. Module 1 is intended for weakened patients with energetic blockages, module 2 is for overstrained patients for stabilization and module 3 is for hyperactive patients to calm them down e.g. in case of allergic reactions.

The anamnesis is a process of systematic questioning, which deals with the patient’s overall state of health. It is carried out by the doctor, naturopathic practitioner or person entrusted with the treatment, either vocally or with the help of an anamnesis sheet. The current complaints, special dispositions (e.g. allergies), health history (somatic anamnesis), life circumstances (social and psychological anamnesis) and genetic risk (family anamnesis) of the patient are recorded. In principle, it is based on information provided by the patient himself (self-history). At the same time, it provides the opportunity for an initial physical inspection with regard to the patient’s facial color, posture, breathing sounds, skin, hair, etc. If the patient is suffering from a disorder of consciousness at the time of the anamnesis, for example, it can also be carried out on the basis of information provided by relatives (external anamnesis). It thus points the way to the type and scope of further diagnostic measures and has the goal of quickly narrowing down the problem and making a tentative diagnosis. Without this narrowing down process, subsequent diagnostic measures would be untargeted and could lead the practitioner in the wrong direction.

A treatment option in the context of BICOM® bioresonance, in which an acupuncture meridian is energetically stimulated or dampened.

According to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), meridians refer to specific energy pathways on the surface of the skin through which acupuncture points are connected.

The modulation mat is a special applicator that patients usually wear on their back during BICOM® therapy. It consists of a flat coil that generates an extremely weak magnetic field, which is controlled by the output of the BICOM® device.

The common mugwort grows between 60 cm and 2 meters high. With its yellow-white-brown flowers, it is often found on stony to clayey soils, such as embankments, roadsides and gravel sites. The release of the pollen usually happens in the morning between 6 and 11 a.m. and is spread by the wind. Because of its spicy aroma, mugwort is often used in the kitchen as a seasoning for a wide variety of dishes. Pollen season The flowering period is between July and September, depending on the weather. Allergy sufferers often show the typical symptoms of hay fever in late summer. Possible cross-reactions Cross-reactions are most common with ragweed. However, cross-reactions to related grasses and certain spices, fruits or vegetables are also possible, such as chamomile, dandelion, goldenrod, chrysanthemum, daisy, gerbera, oregano, basil, caraway, fennel, dill, mustard, celery, carrot, marjoram, thyme, peach, melon, banana.

The stinging nettle reaches a height of between 10 and 300 cm, depending on the location and the growing medium. The typical stinging hairs are found on the upper side of the leaves. When they come into contact with the skin, a mixture of certain chemicals can cause painful wheals (swellings). As a medicinal plant, nettles are used for rheumatic diseases, urinary tract infections and/or kidney stones. It is also popular with people who suffer from hay fever. In the form of a tea, nettles have the property of blocking the body’s histamine and can thus alleviate typical hay fever symptoms such as rhinitis and watering eyes. However, sufferers should definitely ask their specialist for advice beforehand. The allergenic potency of nettle pollen is classified as low, but since pollen transport takes place via the wind, a lot of pollen is produced during the flowering period, which can cause problems for pollen-sensitive people. Pollen season Nettles flower between mid-April and the end of November. The main flowering period is from mid-June to the end of August. The nettle pollen from the flowers is mainly dispersed by the wind. Possible cross-reactions Very little is known about cross-reactions. However, an allergy to nettles rarely occurs alone, but in combination with another pollen allergy.

The nutrient balance in the body refers to the balance or presence of various vitamins, nutrients and amino acids. The proportions are usually directly influenced by a healthy diet. In old age, the appetite decreases significantly, which is why older people in particular have to struggle with an unbalanced nutrient balance. In such cases, often important vitamins, minerals and fats are missing.

Oaks are most easily recognized by their nut fruit, the acorn. This ripens in the first or second year after pollination. Depending on location and variety, an oak can grow up to 40 meters tall and live for over 1,000 years. A typical characteristic of the oak is that it does not shed dead branches. The catkin flowers grow up to 2-5 cm long and are pollinated by the wind. A direct oak pollen allergy is rather rare, often it is formed by a cross-allergy of the birch family. Pollen season Depending on the weather, the pollen count can start as early as March. The main flowering time of the oak is between April and May, during which time the flowers open and attract countless insects. The nut-like acorns ripen in autumn. Possible cross-reactions An allergy to oak pollen is usually manifested by a cross-reaction to birch pollen. Due to the main allergen of the slope birch (Bet V 1), allergy sufferers often show reactions to birch, alder, hornbeam, hazel and/or beech pollen.

Orthomolecular substances are used in orthomolecular medicine, a method of complementary medicine. It is intended to create a bridge between nutritional science and medicine. The method focuses on vitamins, minerals, trace elements, fatty acids and enzymes that are naturally present in the human body and are to be passed on to the patient in a partially highly dosed form, e.g. as food supplements. Orthomolecular medicine is based on the basic assumption that patients cannot absorb the daily required vital substances in sufficient quantities, resulting in a deficit in the nutrient balance.

The frequency patterns of the therapy can also be stored on carrier substances (such as oils or minerals) for extension of the therapy. For this purpose, the BICOM® therapist adds the corresponding carrier substance to the output cup of the BICOM® bioresonance device.

Phytopharmaceuticals are herbal medicines that are obtained from different plant components and are used in traditional medicine as well as in modern therapies. The active ingredients, which are extracted from leaves, flowers, roots or bark, can be used in the right dosage for certain health problems. Phytopharmaceuticals are often used for digestive problems or inflammation. Traditional medicine used the active ingredients of plants for medicinal purposes early on, and this knowledge is now combined with modern scientific knowledge and offered as an alternative to synthetic medicines. Although phytopharmaceuticals are considered a natural option, they can still have side effects and drug interactions. It is advisable to seek medical advice before taking, especially if other medications are already being taken.

Pines belong to the conifer family, they are one of the most important tree species in forestry and are therefore very widespread. Pollination takes place through the wind, which favors the formation of a large amount of pollen. Although allergies to pine pollen are rather rare, they are none the less problematic for those affected due to the spread and large amount of pine pollen. Those affected are usually allergy sufferers who already have a sensitization to birch, mugwort and/or ryegrass. Sensitization to pine pollen shows up in sufferers due to a cross-reaction. Among the tree species, pine is relatively easy to recognize. The flexible pine needles grow together in the form of several bundles and reach a length of 2.5 to 50 cm, depending on the pine species. The cones are ovoid. Pollen season Depending on the weather, the flowering time is between the beginning of April and August. However, the pollen count of the pine only affects a period of a few weeks, usually the beginning of May and the beginning of June. Possible cross-reactions Allergy to pine pollen is manifested by a cross-reaction to olive, cypress, birch, mugwort and/or ryegrass. However, a possible cause among sufferers could also be a food allergy to pine nuts.

Pollen is tiny, powdery granules produced by plants that play an essential role in reproduction. They are spread by the wind or insects and form the flora (plant world) as we know and appreciate it. The pollen count, which varies seasonally and regionally depending on the type of flower, plays an important role for allergy sufferers. With the help of special pollen apps or maps from the German Weather Service (DWD), allergy sufferers can find out about the pollen count danger index.

Pollen dispersal refers to the release and dispersal of pollen from plants into the air. In this process, the pollen is dispersed by the wind or by insects such as bees or butterflies. This natural process is important for plant reproduction, but can trigger allergic reactions in people with allergies. Pollen dispersal varies by plant species and season. Certain plants bloom at different times of the year, which can lead to seasonal allergies. Pollen forecasts are often provided by meteorological services to help allergy sufferers prepare for high pollen concentrations.

Poplars grow along riverbanks and in forests, but are also often planted along country roads. They grow to a height of about 30 to 45 meters. The bark is often grey and the leaves triangular, heart-shaped or ovals. The flower heads are stalked drooping catkins. The fruit contains seeds surrounded by a long, dense fluff of hairs. The poplar belongs to the willow family. In Europe, the silver, trembling and black poplar are widespread. They are often grown for wood, paper and energy. One tree can produce up to 25 million seeds per year and can live up to 200 years. Unlike poplar pollen, the fluffy seeds, also known as poplar wool, are safe for allergy sufferers. Pollen season Depending on the location and species, poplars flower between February and April. However, the peak flowering season is in April. Possible cross reactions Very often willow but also nuts, seeded and stone fruits, carrots and celery.

Quantum physics is concerned with the behavior and interaction of minute particles and seeks to explain the phenomena produced by these minute particles during experiments. During experiments, molecules and smaller particles only give results when they appear in certain amounts and proportions. In physics, the proportion needed to cause a change of state in a system is called quanta. A meaningful distinction of these dimensions is usually not possible, because the same objects behave either like a particle or a wave. This effect is also called wave-particle duality.

Ribwort plantain usually grows in larger grassy areas such as parks or grassy meadows. However, it grows best in loamy or sandy soils. It is a typical feature of paths, which is where the name plantain comes from. Ribwort plantain grows to about 5 to 60 inches tall and about a finger wide. The flowers are brown and white. Ribwort plantain belongs to the plantain family and is often used as a medicinal plant for inflammation of the mucous membrane of the mouth and throat or for other inflammations. According to observations, sensitization to ribwort plantain has increased significantly in recent years. The sticky seeds of ribwort plantain are often found on animal paws, shoes and wheels. Pollen season The pollen season is between May and September. Small capsules, each with two small blackish seeds, develop from the small white individual flowers in the Autumn. Possible cross reactions Many people who are allergic to ribwort often also exhibit additional allergies, such as an allergy to grasses or birch pollen. Cross-reactions with olive trees may also occur, but these are very rare.

Rye grows on sandy and lighter soils, as well as in moist and cooler regions. The stalks grow to about 65 to 200 centimeters long. The stem and leaves have a silvery green color. The rye belongs to the family of sweet grasses. In Europe, it is mainly used as animal feed. Processed rye is found in various products such as flour, in the form of flakes, meal and semolina or even in alcohol. Rye allergens belong to the group of cereal pollens and are therefore one of the most important allergens. Pollen season and harvesting time During it´s pollen season, rye bears slightly overhanging ears. The pollen season is between May and July. Rye is usually harvested from the end of July to mid-August. Possible cross-reactions Rye pollen is closely related to grain and grass pollen. It is therefore not uncommon for allergy sufferers to be allergic to these pollens as well.

The Schumann frequency, also known as the Schumann resonance, was named after the German physicist and electrical engineer Winfried Otto Schumann. It describes the occurrence of electromagnetic waves forming along the circumference of the earth. These waves are in a frequency range of 3 to 30 Hz, depending on the season. The lowest fundamental wave of the Schumann resonance lies at approx. 7.8 Hz. The harmonics are at 14 and 45 Hz. The waves are formed in the space between the earth’s surface (mainly salt water) and the ionosphere. Due to its conductive properties, the interspace acts as a spherical shell-shaped cavity resonator in the context of the Schumann resonance. The frequency range, which can usually only be detected by very sensitive measuring instruments, is known in scientific circles under the terminology “Extremely Low Frequency”. The Schumann frequency is favored by natural processes in the atmosphere and ionosphere, such as lightning or friction of air masses.

In BICOM® therapy, a second therapy channel can be used in addition to the main channel, when using the BICOM optima® and BICOM optima® mobile bioresonance devices. This is called “channel 2” in the language of the BICOM® bioresonance method and is often abbreviated to “Ch2”. The second channel is used to simultaneously apply further frequency patterns that stabilize the patient to accompany a BICOM® therapy. The stabilizing frequency patterns can be applied manually via a correspondingly marked input cup as well as digitized via substance complexes stored in the BICOM optima® device. It is important to know that the information fed into the input of channel 2 is not fed into the therapy part of the BICOM optima® device and is therefore not modulated. The information of the second channel is transmitted one-to-one to the patient, so to speak, therefore it is important to use only physiologically supporting substances. These can be, among others, naturopathic remedies, phytopharmaceuticals, homeopathics, gemstones or similar. These are also known among BICOM® therapists as “native substances”.

The single ampule test technique is comparable to the combined test technique. It provides BICOM® therapists with further testing possibilities in therapy by means of individually composed ampules.

The term solar plexus is composed of the Latin words “solar” (sun) and “plexus” (complex, intertwined, entwined). It describes a vegetative nerve plexus in the abdominal cavity of the human body. This autonomic nerve plexus serves to control some organs such as the stomach or intestines through a high accumulation of sympathetic and parasympathetic nerve fibers. In this context, the solar plexus is also called “brain of the abdomen” or “center of emotions“.

Substance complexes are compilations of therapeutically valuable individual substances which have been stored in digital form in the BICOM optima® devices. The substance complexes are used by BICOM® therapists in bioresonance therapy. Therapists can either run them in parallel with the BICOM® treatment in the 2nd channel or use them as an independent form of therapy for treating the patient. BICOM® substance complexes are also excellently suited for transferring to oils, drops and ointments. Similar to the BICOM CTT® and BICOM® STT ampules, individual substances are not only mixed during the production, but also organized in special quantity or strength ratios. The digital frequency patterns of the composition is then stored in the device.

Suspected diagnoses are an everyday medical working tool. They denote a suspicion that medical professionals have to make due to missing information. This missing information includes laboratory tests and results. Based on the suspected diagnosis, further possible diagnoses can be defined and carried out. The suspicion is then confirmed or rejected in the form of laboratory tests and imaging.

Sycamore is easily recognized by its maple-like foliage. It is often found as a means of shade in parks and/or as an avenue tree in cities. The height of growth can reach up to 45 meters. The flowering catkins grow to about 6 to 8 inches tall. The fruit is spherical and grows to about 3 centimeters. In Germany, the sycamore pollen allergy is one of the rarer pollen allergies. Symptoms are measurable signs and subjective sensations that indicate the presence of a disease, condition, or health problem. They are important clues for doctors to make diagnoses and initiate appropriate treatments. An accurate description and evaluation of symptoms during the anamnesis are the key to successful medical care.

A tensor is a fine, radiesthetic measuring instrument (radiesthesia, derived from the Latin radius (ray) and the Greek aisthesis (sensation). Radiesthesia (also radioesthesia) is the science of so-called ray effects on organisms. The tensor consists of a handle, a rod and a tip. The rod and tip are made of conductive material. They are not only used at home, but are also used by therapists, doctors and naturopathic practitioners. The basis of tensor testing is the knowledge that every material, element or molecule has its own vibration/radiation. Tensors are mostly used to test for intolerances. This includes, but is not limited to, testing for food, dental materials, medications, and allergies.

Influences manifested in the body that impede the flow of energy in the body and thus the course of therapy.

Therapy programs are electronically stored fixed therapy settings included in the BICOM® device. These defaults are composed of proven instructions for the corresponding therapy, such as frequency parameters (therapy type), amplifications (amplitudes), defaults for the bandpass (frequency sweep), the therapy time and a visual instruction for the applicator placement.

The patient’s own vibrations or frequency patterns are selected and combined in the BICOM® device in 6 different ways. These combinations are intended to stimulate the pathological state of the body to self-regulate.

Underactive thyroid is also called Hypothyroidism and refers to a deficient production of hormones by the thyroid gland. The two best-known hormones produced in the thyroid gland are called triiodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). In the case of hypothyroidism, they are not produced in sufficient quantities. Both have an iodine component and the hormone deficiency has a negative effect on the body’s metabolic processes and slows them down. The slowed metabolic processes reduce performance, which can manifest itself as fatigue and poor concentration, among other things. The causes of hypothyroidism are very complex and often inflammation or damage of the thyroid gland precedes. In addition, a pronounced iodine deficiency or genetic predisposition can also be a cause. Diagnosis is made by detecting the thyroid hormones themselves, or by detecting TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). This hormone is not produced in the thyroid gland, but in the pituitary gland. TSH stimulates the thyroid gland to produce the various thyroid hormones. An increased TSH level in the blood can be a sign of hypothyroidism, because as soon as the thyroid gland becomes weaker, the pituitary gland increases the production of TSH.

Willow species are very diverse in height. They range from dwarf shrubs, which grow to only 3 centimeters high, to trees that reach a height of up to 30 meters. In many species, the leaves are light green. The downy catkins are cylindrical or egg-shaped. The willow belongs to the willow family, but has a lower allergy risk than, for example, the hazel or alder. Over 450 species belong to the willow family. As pollination is done by insects (e.g. bees, bumblebees), there is less pollen in the air. The young egg-shaped flower catkins are often used for Easter decorations, which can cause hay fever in indoor allergy sufferers. Pollen season Pollen season begins as early as March for some species, however late flowering species do not bloom until May to June. The main pollen season is April. Possible cross reactions The most common cross-allergy is to poplar.
